1. how I do the ranking for the sheet you download for each track.
2. I will show and explain each race on 3/14/03 Aqueduct.
3. Why I hit a long shot?
4. why I loose long shoots?
5. How I rank the A, B {I}?
6. Why I bomb out on a race now and then?
7. How do I rank first time starters.
8. Why horses hit in the money when none of my tags are showing?
AQUEDUCT 03/14/03 has most of the above scenarios, the only thing
missing is Maiden 1st time starters, that is the reason for Santa
Anita 3rd race.
The flash banner average percentage is (like the one above) 50% 60%
WIN / PLACE my real average percentage is 70% 80% WIN / PLACE, if
you are one of my regulars you already know that, I will be changing
that flash banner later.
Before I get started I want to answer the two most common questions.
Do I use morning line in my handicapping and programming? NO I do
not use morning line in my handicapping, at one time I did in the
late 70's. I found that if you handicap not considering MORNING ODDS,
when you are done and if you are not totally out of line with the
morning odds then you can be sure that your handicapping was based on
your own skills not what the track handicapper thinks. This question
came up mostly because often my A horse is the morning line favorite,
you will see why that is later.
The other main question is; do I handicap using Trainer / Jockey, NO
I do not the reason is most often the Trainer or Jockey do not really
know if their horse is going to win. Every interview you ever heard
by a Jockey or Trainer is "our horse has a chance". When a big long
shot come in they are just as surprised as your are.
If your a MORNING LINE handicapper or a JOCKEY / TRAINER handicapper
and one of my picks has you system and will pay you $3.00 on how ever
you play the horses then go for it. Example: Horse will pay $3.00 to
win then do not play to place. If your horse will pay $4.00+ then you
can play a win place bet, or play a separate horse to place if that
horse will pay $4.00+ if you key horse were to loose and your second
horse wins or comes in 2nd.
I handicap and program using around 46 systems on the samples you are
about to see shows 17 of them the rest are hidden. The top ones are
used mostly in the ranking process and for my personal view to see
why a horse did what it did for future programming.
I am only going to show you how I use the 4 most important systems
not the systems themselves that would require writing a book. This
section is only to show you that you DO get the top four contenders
in a race and why they are there.
