Welcome...

There is no magic pill to horse handicapping, some handicappers are better
at it than others. You may judge for your self if I am one of the good ones.
Every good handicapper has his own way of choosing the best contenders. I do
not lean toward favorites, though they are often included in my TOP 4 PICKS.
I am always after the 70% winners most people do not pick. Favorites win 30%
of the time, everyone knows that, but handicappers all over the world feel
that they must choose favorites. Why is that?

EQUAL CHANCE
It's the racing secretary's job to see to it that all horses have equal
chance of winning, by restricting a race to a particular type of horse. Once
entered in a race he adds or takes off weight. When all is said and done,
all horses should have equal chance of winning, or at least be in the money.

REASONS FOR TOP 4
Though most horses in a race are out to win, some are there in anticipation
for a better race down the line and are getting ready for that race .. hence
are not really there to win that particular race. Some horses are put in a
race by the trainer just for a workout with competition. Other horses are
there as a sneak attack in anticipation of catching you off guard, and they
do 70% of the time.
Some tracks have exacts, triples and trifectas in every race. The more
information you are armed with, the better your handicapping will be.

TAGS
Tags are the method I use to give brief insights on the horse without
getting wordy. Taking 100% of handicapping from you is not my goal. the tags
are there as a tool to use. Example: {?}= Possible long show. If the final Odds on
this tag is higher then 20-1 this horse should be skipped. The tags are very important
to your success in using my selections.
Press HERE for more information on each tag.

DESCENDING ORDER
Yes I must admit to one thing ... the top choice should be better than the
rest of the horses, and the 2nd choice better than the horses below it, and
the 3rd horse is better than the 4th choice. In reality any horse can win
(LOOK FOR THE PRICE). Often you can make more money on the horse that comes
in 2nd than the one who wins. The same goes for Exactas ... often you can
make more money on the horse who won than playing a $10 exacts box.

WAGERING STRATEGY
THIS WAGERING STRATEGY IS FOR USE WITH Thoro Bet's FOUR (4) CONTENDERS.
This system may work with other (4) contenders systems but no one picks more good
paying horses in a day across the country then THORO-BET!
1. If one of your top selections goes off at good odds and you like that
horse, don't be afraid to bet to win for $20 or more.
2. Bet more on the horses with higher odds.
3. Bet less on horses with lower odds.
4. If you are going to survive and enjoy this game, it is going to be on
good paying horses, not on a lot of cheap paying horses.
Remember the second you walk through the doors at the track the odds are
against you from the start!! With your Handicapping skills, THORO-BET'S
PICKS in your pocket and good Money Management, you will have many more
good and profitable days then not.
The following Exacta SYSTEM is great and works fantastic. First off all
always GRAVITATE towards your selections with HIGHER ODDS. Let's say YOU
like 4 horses and in the order of 1,2,3,4 #1 BEING YOUR TOP (HIGHER ODDS)
PICK ETC.
Based on a $2.00 bet.
EXACTAS
$8 1-2
$6 2-1
$5 1-3
$4 3-1
$3 2-3
$3 3-2
$2 1-4
$2 4-1
$2 4-2
$2 2-4
The above is a $37 bet. If top picks hit you make good money. If your $2.00
bet hits, you probably will break even over all. Do not play EXACTAS on races
with TWO HORSES ARE <= 7/5 ODDS. The best thing is not to play EXACTAS AT ALL.
It is definitely NOT recommended to play every race though every race is
provided on your THORO-BET pick sheet. If you play every race you will
loose money, no matter how good your handicapping skills are, and it does
not no matter how good the THORO-BET picks are on any given day.
The above system works great with good money management you should find
one that words best for you and your budget.
If you just like this game to have only have FUN and being buddies with
other handicapper at the track and like to bet every race then make all
of the above smaller wagers and cross your fingers.
Any maximum bet should not exceed 5% of your spendable bankroll. To make
the bet described above, you must have $700 in spendable bankroll or more.
If you are really serious about making money at the track, bring your chips
to the table. Most important have fun and good luck !!!

Handicapper"
