Welcome...

 |
In 1999 my friends encouraged me to open my web site, they said that I was
as good or better then anyone out there. I thought it over and I started to
learn HTML (web site programming ) while I was on Jury Duty I found it to
be easy.
The hard part was programming my pick into a format that most handicappers
could understand, that where the TAGS came in.
The first 6 months of the site I used both positive and negative tags about
each horse that became confusing to handicappers so I dropped the negative
tags and only put the positive tags.
I have been thinking about having 2 sheets one with positive TAGS and one
with negative TAGS but that may not fly ether.
SITE STATS OF CONTENDERS (-5% for top 3 Contenders)
I DID NOT include FIRST TIME STARTERS that are ate the bottom of the pick sheet
as part of statistics. This means that you can add to the Percentages below including
the last statistics for May 2005 +3% to +5%.
March ---- 1999 to April ----- 2000 Win Average 40% / 45% and Place Average 45% / 50%
April ---- 2000 to June ----- 2001 Win Average 45% / 50% and Place Average 50% / 55%
June ---- 2001 to November -- 2001 Win Average 50% / 55% and Place Average 55% / 60%
November - 2001 to June ------ 2002 Win Average 55% / 60% and Place Average 50% / 55%
June ----- 2002 to February -- 2003 Win Average 50% / 60% and Place Average 55% / 60%
February - 2003 to August ---- 2003 Win Average 55% / 65% and Place Average 55% / 60%
August --- 2003 to December -- 2003 Win Average 55% / 70% and Place Average 55% / 65%
December - 2003 to February -- 2005 Win Average 60% / 70% and Place Average 60% / 65%
March ---- 2005 to May 15th -- 2005 Win Average 60% / 75% and Place Average 60% / 67%
May / 18th / 2005 to PRESENT:
Out of 728 Races Tested My 4 Contenders Hit Win 577
WIN Average 60% /79%
Out Of 728 Races Tested My 4 Contenders Hit Place 521
PLACE Average 60% / 72%
Out of 728 Races Tested My 4 Contenders Hit Show 457
SHOW Average 52% /63%
Often there are days where 100% contenders will hit WIN and PLACE!
Note: The above did not include 1st Time Starters.
May be I could have done better above, but I do not have any control on weather (Off Tracks),
2 or more of my horses being scratched, any of my top horses getting injured and pulling-up,
Jockey falls of horse, my top horses getting blocked in and so on. If you have been doing handicpping
for awhile you have seen these thing happen many times.
This is the best I have ever done so far and if the model holds up
the future should be the same or better. I am always trying to make my site the
best it can be and always looking for ways to improve my picks but at 79% average it's going to be
quite a challenge to make it much better, I am already hitting my share of place pick all's and pick 6's
and other exotic wagering, more then any software or other sites on the web these days.
G O A L S
A) - Maintain an average of 60% to 79% Win and 60% to 72% Place.
B) - More often then not push most of my winners to the top 3 choices.
C) - Maintain a High percentage of Daily Doubles, Exactas, Trifectas, Pick 3,
4,5, 6 and Place Pick All on tracks that has these types of betting.
T R A C K S
Most tracks I handicap are about the same, however sometimes tracks have
streaks of horse that defy all handicapping systems and methods it can
happen for one or two days or a full meet, when this happens it can pull
down my average WIN & PLACE percentage for a short time. All of the other
tracks have good and bad days; I do have more good days then bad. I am a
big believer in the bell curve of life EVERYTHING has it and is controlled
by it including you and me.
L O N G ~ S H O T S
Long Shots are not expected to win hence Long Shot. In my handicapping I am
always looking for the horse that can beat the favorite, the best horses
gets the best points and my picks are ranked by points given. If a horse
get more points then the favorite then that horse goes on top, otherwise my
top pick could and often is the favorite by point given, compared to other
horses in the race. Hopefully you can double your money if you choose to
bet him, or would be wise to go for one of my other choices who may pay
more to place then what the winner would pay to WIN this is a tough call.
F U T U R E
At this time my handicapping is geared to horses compared to each other.
I do not use Jockey, Trainer or Morning odds as part of my handicapping, at
times it looks as if I do. Good contenders are good contenders. I may or
may agree with the track's Assessment of a horse ability to be in the money
that day. I allow you as a Handicapper to track these variables at your
own tack. Example: If you like a Jockey or Trainer or the Morning Odds or
Late Odds are within your range of betting and these horses are one of my
picks then go for it.
Now that my WIN percentage is 60% / 79% you will have plenty of days where you
will see my contenders hit 100% WIN, giving you a good chance of hitting the pick 6
and lots of pick 3's and pick 4's.
BOTTOM LINE TO SUCCESSFUL INVOLVEMENT IN HORSE RACING
Contrary to popular belief, the object of being successful playing the horses is
not picking winners... 1st KEY is
picking horses that are in the money and making a profit on those horse you have
your money on, it does not matter if the horse comes in 1st, 2nd or 3rd!
Learning how to bet is the 2nd KEY
to winning at the track not picking the winner, using Thoro-Bet as your guide to picking
horses is your 3rd KEY to success at the track.
However if you just want Winners for your exotic wagering
Exactas, Trifectas, Quinella's, DD's, Pick 3's, Pick 4's, Pick 6's, Place Pick All's
and Betting Strategies Involving Parleys.
this site picks plenty of those without question, better than any site you can
join or Horse Racing Software on the market today. To prove it
I have provided a tracking page, just go to the
30days past performance page and follow the daily selections that were
provided to Members, they are posted within 24 hours and stays their for 30 days.
You will need to evaluate this site and do what is best for your
success, at the track. I am trying to provide a service better
then anyone you can find on the Internet, at a reasonable price, that can be won back
within one or two races depending on your betting skills, or on a bad day may be after 3,
races, from then on just profit for you.
Good Luck to you.
